You’ve probably heard that video marketing is the next greatest thing to grow your Real Estate Business.

You may have even heard that you should be doing Facebook Lives.

Maybe these admonitions have been falling on deaf ears with you.

I know I stayed away from video for a couple of years.

A few weeks ago, my eyes were opened to the possibilities of video marketing.

If you’ve been reading my blog, you’ll notice that I publish a blog article every day.

I started my blog in May of 2019.

This post will be my 254th post since May of 2019.

I usually spend about an hour and a half writing each morning.

It takes a lot of work to write a blog post every day.

Then I publish my blog and share it on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Medium.

On a good day, I will get five people to view one of my blog articles.

A few weeks ago, I did my first Facebook Live and was astonished at the attention those videos garnished.

My first Facebook Live was around five minutes, and it took me about fifteen minutes to record.

Going on video live was a bit daunting the first time, so it took me a few minutes to gather a bit of courage.

That video got 55 views on Facebook.

I then uploaded that Facebook video to LinkedIn and received 331 views and 12 likes and five comments

I’ve done subsequent videos on Facebook and LinkedIn, and I’m consistently getting more attention from those videos than I am from the blog posts that I publish on social media.

When I go on video, I’m able to transmit my message in a whole different way than when I write.

What I’d like you to do for a moment is to think about one of your loved ones.

You are on a business trip to a faraway location, and you’ve just finished your workday.

Now it’s time to reconnect with your loved ones.

So you sit down and write and send them an email.

A few minutes later, you get an email back from them.

Your heart skips a beat and a smile beams across your face.

Next, you decided to give your loved ones a phone call.

Ah, the sound of their voice.

Even though you had a good day, you miss your loved ones, and their voice rings like music as you get to talk with them.

You end the phone call and grab a quick snack.

Then you open up your smartphone and start a video phone call.

The video starts, and the vision of your loved ones is a totally different experience.

You are now communicating on a whole new level.

The smile, the inside jokes, and gestures make it feel like all of you are in the same room.

The video call ends, and you feel like you were transported back home and got a big hug.

That was amazing.

Now take a moment to compare and contrast the three interactions you had with your loved ones.

How did each one of them make you feel?

Which interaction was your favorite?

If you could only interact in one of the three ways, email, phone call, or video, which one would you choose?

Video is so powerful because it allows us to connect with people in the most holistic way.

Video is the next best thing to being in person with them.

If you want to increase your effectiveness with your marketing, then now is the time to incorporate video.

The best part about video marketing is you already have everything you need.

You have a smartphone.

That’s all you need.

The key is to get started and to publish videos consistently.

My recommendation is to start publishing a short video once a week.

The video could be a minute, or it could be 3-5 minutes.

Just start with something that is easy for you.

Here is the key – don’t overthink it.

Just do it.

Don’t worry about if your makeup is just right or you’re having a bad hair day.

So what.

Nobody cares.

Most people will not even notice.

If they do notice, you’ll come across more genuine and those watching you will fall in love with you that much more.

If they do make snide comments, then just ignore them.

There will always be haters.

Those people don’t matter.

Now that I’ve given you my experience with video and some encouragement to get started now, I’m going to share with you my five-step guide to use to create marketing videos that get you results.

Use this five steps guide to plan out your video.

Step 1 Introduce yourself.

Share your name and what you want people to know about you.

Think about if you were at a networking meeting, and you were asked to introduce yourself.

What would you say to introduce yourself?

In my videos, I say, “Hey there, it’s me, Damon Yudichak, and I’m a Mastery Certified Profit First Professional for Real Estate Agents.”

Step 2 Ask A Thought Provoking Question About Your Topic

Every video you publish should have just one topic.

People have short attention spans, and you will get the best results by just talking about one thing.

A good place to start is using questions that you repeatedly hear from your clients and prospects.

One of the questions I hear frequently is, “How do I set up an LLC for my Real Estate Business?”

Step 3 Talk Your Topic

Now that you’ve introduced your topic, it’s time to share your valuable knowledge with your viewers.

Here is the best formula for delivering that information with your viewers.

  • Tell them what you’re going to tell them.
  • Tell them
  • Tell them what you told them.

People love this format for receiving information because it reinforces the information three times.

It’s easy to follow the format and will keep your audience engaged.

During the Tell Them stage, have three main points about your subject.

Three main points are a magic amount because it’s easy to remember, and it forces you to be narrow your focus on just three supporting points.

Step 4 Call To Action

Now that you’ve delivered that great content, its time to invite your audience to take the next steps with you.

You always want to have a call to action.

The call to action moves your audience further along the business relationship with you.

Here are a couple of calls to action you could use effectively.

  • Make sure to like my video.
  • If you liked the video, share it with your friends.
  • Submit your comments below
  • If you’ve got some questions, submit them in the comments below
  • Subscribe to my channel
  • Go to this link to get my guide on how to choose a top-notch Real Estate Agent

The options for a call to action are limitless.

To come up with a call to action, think about what the next step you want your audience to take.

Always have a call to action!

Talk about your topic

Step 5 Close The Video And Say Goodbye.

Now you’re going to close out your video.

You could say one of the following.

  • That ends it for my video. I hope you have a good day.
  • Thanks for watching, see you next time

Come up with something simple that you would normally say.

Final Points To Remember

I’ve just given you everything you need to get started with video marketing.

Here’s the most important thing to get started.

Get Started!!!

The first step is to do a video.

Just do the video.

I’ll say it one more time. Get your smartphone out and record and publish the video.

It doesn’t have to be good.

In fact, it probably won’t be good.

Be okay with that.

Being not goodwill and warm people up to you because they will see you as a normal human being.

People trust normal human beings.

So just get started now.

You’ll be uncomfortable at first, but that will go away with repetition.

Everyone is uncomfortable at first.

I’m excited to see what you do.

When you publish your first video, share it in the comments below.

I’d love to see it.

Before I end this article, I wanted to ask you if you’re looking to grow your business profits and having more cash in the bank, send me an email at damon@idealmoneylife.com with “PROFIT” in the subject line… tell me a little about your business and what you’d like to work on together, and I’ll get you all the details!
