I had plans to go to the Grand Canyon in early May.

I’ve never been to the Grand Canyon, and I’ve heard that it is an awe-inspiring experience.

I shared my plans to visit the Grand Canyon with someone who worked at the Grand Canyon.

That person told me that the average person stays at the Grand Canyon less than 30 minutes.

I was shocked when I heard that.

Why do I want to see the Grand Canyon?

The Grand Canyon represents what a little bit of water consistently streaming down the same path can accomplish.

Persistence is powerful.

My favorite quote on persistence comes from our 30th President Calvin Coolidge.

“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press On” has solved and will always solve the problems of the human race.”
